The EXGEL Deep Contour Slim Owl Cushion was developed to provide high levels of immersion and greater contact area to distribute pressure forces whilst being low profile, allowing optimal floor to seat height.
The EXGEL Deep Contour Slim has a pre-contoured shape to provide optimal leg positioning alongside a front taper which allows for optimal cushion positioning in a wheelchair. There is shaping in the Ischial area which has a greater thickness of EXGEL which allows for more immersion and greater contact area to distribute pressure forces. The rear cushion curve fits the natural shape of the body and Trochanteric shaping provides lateral stability and a level pelvis. The cushion is only 2" thick at the contoured leg position allowing for optimal floor to seat height. The surface of the cushion is wipeable for easy cleaning and there is a non-slip base on both the body and the cover. There is an EXGEL layer for immersion and greater contact area, with multilayered foam below, which supports proper immersion and stable sitting posture.
