The Heavy Use Gripping Wrap by Active Hands is a simple, yet effective aid for providing comfort and better grip. During some of the more demanding activities enabled by Active Hands, held objects may become uncomfortable against the hand or thumb, which can lead to chafing. Wraps neatly and securely around the object, preventing unwanted rotation of the held item. Each sold seperately.
The Heavy Use Gripping Wrap by Active Hands consists of a square made from durable neoprene, two velcro straps and two loops for easy fastening. The aids are built to endure years of regular use, even with strenuous activities. Machine washable.
Examples of use:
• Holding a free weight in the gym
• Using a kayak paddle
• Gripping a hammer with a narrow handle
About Active Hands:
Active Hands became an award winning product in 2011 after receiving the Stelios Disabled Entrepreneur Award (UK). The gripping aids were created by wheelchair user Rob Smith who experienced a high-level spinal cord injury that caused partial paralysis in all four limbs. Rob was frustrated by the limitations caused by his poor hand function and the lack of suitable equipment available to help him, so he began designing a range of aids to help people lead more independent lives.
