For many sports you need to hold a racquet or bat at an angle and, while our General Purpose aid is great, it doesn’t allow you to do that. So we have designed the Angled aid.
The Angled aid is great for playing tennis, table tennis or baseball. You can use it to hold a hammer, or any other object that you want to hold at an angle.
For table tennis you are still able to leave one finger out if you play using this style of grip.
The aid comes with the strap as a separate part. This allows you to put it at an angle that suits you, the item you are holding and the angle at which you wish to hold something. It might take a few goes to get the position right but then you will have the best grip.
The strap wraps around your hand twice. This is necessary to pull your hand into the correct position and get a good grip with your little finger.
There are two options for the strap – rubber backed or webbing only. The rubber backed strap is great if you need to push a wheelchair at the same time (e.g. for wheelchair tennis). The webbing only strap is lighter. If you don’t need to push a wheelchair at the same time, we recommend going for this one.
The Angled aid doesn’t have to just be for serious sport – why not use it to play swing ball with your kids, like Rob does in the video!
Not only is it [Angled aid] more comfortable… it is at a 45º angle so sits at a more natural playing angle, which has helped my forehand and backhand no end. I’ve improved my game massively just by using this. It’s lightweight, and like with all of the Active Hands equipment, it’s durable and well made. I would definitely recommend using it for anyone who struggles with grip and plays racket sports.

Anti-Slip Strip for Rackets:
For rackets without padding on the handle, such as table tennis or swing ball rackets, we recommend adding some anti-slip strip to the handle for comfort and grip. This is also helpful for rackets/bats with thinner handles to help prevent slipping within the hand.
Sizing:
Available in two sizes: Small, Standard/Large (Adult) and in left or right options (each sold separately)
We recommend using the size guide
